A successful end to this third edition of the Toulon Provence Regatta!

This Sunday, May 10th, saw the final awards ceremony for the Toulon Provence Regatta 2026, co-organised by the Club Nautique de la Marine in Toulon and Twelve Med Events, in partnership with the Mairie de Toulon, the Métropole Toulon Provence Méditerranée, the Département du Var, the Région Sud and the Marine Nationale. We had the pleasure of welcoming our patron for the 2026 edition, Philippe HARTZ, and Armel Le Cléac’h, skipper of the ULTIM trimaran «Banque Populaire XI» who sailed the great harbour of Toulon with 2 other ULTIMs during these 4 days. Several private companies supported our nautical event: Destinus, Maribay Toulon Plaisance, Veolia, Q-Park, Domaine du Pas du Cerf, BFM TV, Matyasy, France Boissons, Château Saint-Maur, IAD Immobilier, Mistral FM and Cafés Maurice.
Over 180 volunteers contributed to its success, whether on «land» or «sea». We thank them for their commitment, their patience, and their adaptability regarding the organisation of new activities and the changeable weather. Thanks also to the permanent team of the Toulon Naval Club who were present during the different launching phases and in support of the various activities of this event…
The «Destinus AI Regatta», a world first in Toulon!

If you had visited the former LA PLAGE restaurant at Anse du Lido this morning, you would have felt like you were in a real ant’s nest. There was a buzz of excitement in everyone's minds. For the organisers, particularly Xavier CAUX, it was the culmination of a project launched just over 2 years ago in partnership with the Swarm’z challenge and the company Destinus (an aerial drone manufacturer) which supported the organisation of this event. For all the competing student teams, it was a real challenge to be taken on over the past few days, much like a hackathon. For some, this last night was very, very, very short. Success and failure mark this adventure, which is only a first step towards the objective of developing a «virtual tactician» for the America's Cup…

On the other hand, they maintain their position directly via GPS and associated small electric thrusters, an effort by Toulon Provence Regatta to avoid anchoring and preserve the seabed.
Of course, we mustn't forget the Jury boat. Several teams were mobilised, between those for the 2.4mR sailboat regattas and those for the 12mJI...

The first of the 12mJI yachts has arrived at the port of Toulon.

It was under the windy morning sun that FLICA 2, the oldest of the 12mJI metre yachts participating in the Toulon Provence Regatta 2026, moored at the quay provided by MARIBAY Toulon Plaisance…
