A successful end to this third edition of the Toulon Provence Regatta!

A final awards ceremony for all ages, regatta, AI regatta, and heritage boat.

This Sunday, May 10th, the final awards ceremony for the Toulon Provence Regatta 2026 took place, co-organised by the Yacht Club of the Navy in Toulon and Twelve Med Events, in partnership with the Town Hall of Toulon, the Toulon Provence Méditerranée Metropolitan Area, the Department of Var, the Sud Region and the French Navy. We had the pleasure of welcoming the sponsor of the 2026 edition, Philippe HARTZ, and Armel Le Cléac’h, skipper of the ULTIM trimaran «Banque Populaire XI» who, along with 2 other ULTIMs, sailed in Toulon's grand roadstead during these 4 days. Several private companies supported our sailing event: Destinus, Maribay Toulon Plaisance, Veolia, Q-Park, Domaine du Pas du Cerf, BFM TV, Matyasy, France Boissons, Château Saint-Maur, IAD Immobilier, Mistral FM and Cafés Maurice.

Over 180 volunteers contributed to its success, both on «Land» and «Sea». We thank them for their dedication, patience and adaptability regarding the organisation of new activities and the changeable weather. Thanks also to the permanent team of the Toulon Navy Sailing Club who were present during the various launching phases and in support of the different activities of this event.

We also welcome the presence of the members of Bagad du PEM Saint Mandrier and the young singers from Cours TABARLY for their participation in entertaining the Village during the official launch evening.

Several collaborations with Toulon schools have helped to renew the image of the event and to participate in the realisation of the «Destinus AI Regatta», notably through the poster traditionally created via a competition within the Design section of the Lycée de la Grande Tourrache, and the participation of SeaTech and the IUT GEII department of the University of Toulon.

The 4 days of regattas allowed for 10 races to be held for the 12mJI yachts and 8 races for the 2.4mR yachts. The more numerous classic yachts this year completed coastal courses between Toulon, the Fourmigues islands and the 2 Frères rocks. The Toulon Provence Regatta was a leg of the European 2.4mR circuit. This edition has allowed the long-awaited revival of Match Racing for the 12mJI Class yachts.

. 12mJI rankings: 1. Kookaburra II, 2. Kiwi Magic, 3. South Australia

. Classic Rankings: 1. Rainbow III, 2. Espar II, 3. Alcyon 1871

. 2.4mR standings: 1. Little Miss Esme, 2. No Captain, No Cry, 3. Lady Bug

For this third edition, we highlighted match races between these 12mJI Grand Prix (Kookaburra II, Kiwi Magic and South Australia) which were designed for this purpose during their past America's Cup participation: the winner is the Italian Kookaburra II from the PRADA Group, 2024 world champion in its category, present in our regatta for the first time.

On Saturday 9 May, we continued the tradition of the America's Cup, a land of innovation, by organising the first autonomous sailing drone regatta, the «Destinus AI Regatta», sponsored by the company Destinus and under the patronage of the Directorate General of Armaments. It brought together several national teams of competitors. Of the 15 sailing drones entered, 3 managed to reach the finish line, which is very encouraging for a world first. This is not a challenge but a regatta that allows courses to be completed autonomously, respecting international sailing rules.

. Winner of the «Destinus AI Regatta» regatta: Pyrovigil

. Winner of the «SWARM'z Challenge»: UUT (Troyes University of Technology)

. Special Innovation Prize awarded by DGA: ISEN Toulon

For 4 days of an event designated the «400th Anniversary of the French Navy,» the public discovered a splendid exhibition at the main town hall, highlighting our sailors, as well as an educational exhibition along Toulon harbour on various stakeholders linked to the maritime world, the «Parcours de la Mer» (Sea Path). 180 pupils from the Metropolis's schools participated in the school morning offered, notably in partnership with the National Maritime Museum. 4,150 visits by the general public to the different boats present at the Carré du Port in Toulon, and over 500 boat trips ("baptêmes nautiques") on the beaches of Mourillon were carried out in partnership with various local associations and sailing clubs. The public was able to continue or finish their visits by strolling through the new Partner Village of the Toulon Provence Regatta 2026, visited by 4,000 people. This year, maritime heritage vessels were celebrated all along the quay bordering the Village. The public greatly appreciated being able to visit them, sail on them briefly, and admire their flags until sunset.

From largest to smallest, the Toulon Provence Regatta showcased racing sailboats as well as very beautiful, remarkable vessels from maritime heritage. We also had the chance to see 3 ULTIM trimarans sailing during the event, notably Banque Populaire XI.

« Twelve Med Event » wishes to further involve the Var business world around the next edition of the Toulon Provence Regatta.
