On Thursday 27 February, we presented this year's event to the first volunteers of the Toulon Provence Regatta 2025 at the Auditorium of the Chalucet media library in Toulon.
This will be the second time Toulon has hosted a major regatta, this year featuring all the metric and universal classes. The 12 mJI in particular will be there, with a round of the 56th Coupe de France of the Yacht Club de France, the first Mediterranean leg of the 2024-2025 season, as will the 2.4 mR yachts, with a leg of their European circuit.
This organisation will start from 20 May for registering and welcoming crews to Toulon, who will then discover the harbour on 22 May during training runs.
The official regatta will take place from 23 to 25 May in front of the Mourillon beaches.
For this exceptional event, we are still looking for volunteers to help organise the regatta on land and at sea.
So we're looking for volunteers :
From 19 to 25 May, the organisers need volunteers ashore for administrative tasks, crew registration, onshore coordination of the regatta, management of visits, school morning workshops, commentator at the Mairie d'Honneur exhibition or at the regatta from the terraces of the Fort St Louis, welcoming partners at social events. At sea, we need sailboat and RIB owners to help secure the race area and meet press requirements, as well as crew members to accompany them.

The next volunteer meeting will be held at the end of April to fine-tune instructions and the organisation of the event. You will be informed directly once you have registered as a volunteer.
Event calendar :
– 19 to 24 May: Exhibition at the Toulon Town Hall
– Tuesday 20 May : Start of boat reception in the port of Toulon (Vieille Darse)
– Thursday 22 May : Training day (Vignettes nautical stadium and along the MTPM coastline) and launch evening along the quays of Toulon's Vieux Port, carré du vieux port and place de l'Equerre.
– Friday 23 to Sunday 25 May: Three days of regattas with several races and several classes of metric yachts (at the Vignettes nautical stadium and in front of Fort St Louis) and a gala evening at the Musée de la Marine.
– Saturday 24 May : Free entertainment and water baptisms on Anse des pins and Anse du Lido on the Mourillon beaches, and a crew party at Place de l'Equerre.
– Sunday 25 May: Prize-giving ceremony at 16:00 on the PREMAR forecourt and volunteers' evening at the SPT.
