REGATE 1 mJ IA or 2.7 Open IA at the TOULON PROVENCE REGATTA 2026

Take part in the Toulon Provence Regatta 2026 by racing your own 1mJ IA or 2.7 Open IA* class sailboat.

WHERE? Mourillon beaches

WHEN? 9 May 2026

THE OBJECTIVE : Demonstrate your ability to design a scale model of an autonomous sailboat and come and measure yourself against the other competitors (schools, clubs, works councils, etc.) to try and win this innovation challenge sponsored by the DGA. Particular attention will be paid to the degree of autonomy of the sailboats to optimise the driving strategy (multiplication of sensors, AI algorithms, etc.).

AWARDS CEREMONY : Official prize-giving ceremony with the other metric classes on the afternoon of Sunday 10 May 2026 and presentation of your model sailboats on the esplanade of the Préfecture Maritime.

All types of innovation will be promoted by the DGA.

PROCEDURE : The boats will race independently in Match Racing around a course to be defined by the committee.

Schools wishing to take part can do so in pairs with a company or can take advantage of a radio-controlled model sailboat to be modified for Match Racing (limited number).

BATTLEBOATS 2026

Take part in the Toulon Provence Regatta 2026 by racing your own autonomous model sailboat with Artificial Intelligence.

WHEN? 9 May 2026

THE OBJECTIVE : Be the first to cross the finish line

AWARDS CEREMONY : Official prize-giving ceremony with the other classes on the afternoon of Sunday 10 May 2026 and presentation of your model sailboats on the esplanade of the Préfecture Maritime.

All types of innovation will be promoted by the DGA.

PROCEDURE :  On the theme of Battlebots (https://battlebots.com), a special course will be set up. Once across the start line, it is forbidden to touch the remote controls until the finish. Boats must be autonomous. The coordinates of the buoys will be known, as will the wind direction. It is forbidden to throw projectiles.

Schools wishing to take part can do so in partnership with a company.
