J-1 until the start of the Toulon Provence Regatta 2026! It's all hands on deck at the fishermen's quay in the port of Toulon. We're busy with the final preparations for the new Village to welcome you in the best conditions and for you to enjoy these 4 days of regatta, discovery of the sea and its sailors, and of boats of all ages with us!
The volunteers are launching the 2.4mR sailboats and preparing the safety, press, VIP, and jury boats. The logistics managed by the volunteers are essential for the smooth running of the Toulon Provence Regatta. 180 volunteers are involved over these 4 days.
All participating boats are gradually arriving at the port of Toulon. All the 12mJI Metre boats have arrived, some like FLICA 2 and KOOKABURA 2 have already trained in the windy conditions this afternoon to get used to the waves in our beautiful roadstead.
While volunteers are working hard to set up the event, others are fine-tuning their programmes and sensors which will be mounted on 1m long small sailboats! The former LA PLAGE restaurant has become the advanced base for the various competing teams in the sailboat drone regatta, the «Destinus AI Regatta», which will take place on Saturday 9 May at 11am at the Lido cove. The IPSA team (The Institut Polytechnique des Sciences Avancées), the leading aeronautics and space school for training engineers in this field, is already at work by the great blue sea, where they were able to watch the ULTIM trimarans, the SVR and BANQUE POPULAIRE, measuring 32m long and 23m wide, sail past!
