At the end of yesterday morning, José MASSI, Mayor of Toulon, in the presence of her deputies for Sport and Culture, officially launched the following event the Toulon Provence Regatta 2025 from 22 to 25 May and will take place in the port of Toulon, on the Mourillon beaches and in the Grande rade de Toulon. Admiral COINDREAU, President of the CNMT, was present alongside him, along with a representative of the French Navy and Erwan Jauffroy, patron of the 2025 regatta.
This event, organised by the Club Nautique de la Marine in Toulon and the Twelve Med Events association, in partnership with the City of Toulon, the TPM Metropole and the REGION SUD, like the first edition in 2024, is true to its objectives. Participative, visual and respectful " !
This year, the Toulon Provence Regatta will welcome not only 12 mJI yachts, but also 10 mJI and remarkable yachts, each with its own story to tell. The regatta will also celebrate inclusive sailing, with more than twenty 2.4mR yachts racing in front of the Fort Saint Louis. Our event will also be a showcase for the local maritime heritage, with a host of sailing boats taking part in the nautical activities on Saturday 24 May. In the Lido cove, local nautical associations will be presenting 1m radio-controlled sailing boats for regattas and introductory sailing lessons.
It will be possible to watch the various regattas from the top of the Fort Saint Louis terraces, with a magnificent view over Toulon's harbour. The yachts can be viewed and visited (prior booking required) in the Carré du Port de Toulon.
The public will also be able to sign up for the water sports baptisms offered on the Mourillon beaches by the partner associations and sailing clubs, or attend the various water sports demonstrations throughout the day on 24 May. The SNSM (French national lifeboat service) will also be taking part, with the possibility of a visit from their "Notre-Dame de Bonne Garde" lifeboat.
Finally, exhibitions and school matinees will combine the "participative" and the "visual" with the "respectful", thanks in particular to the event's corporate partners.
But throughout these 4 days, the Toulon Provence Regatta will be offering festive moments for the various crews taking part in the regattas, as well as for the general public, notably with a launch evening on Thursday 22 May at 6pm in the Carré du Port and then on the Place de l'Equerre.
