OUR COMMITMENTS
EDITION 2025
OUR COMMITMENTS AND VALUES IN THE COMPETITION
The Toulon Provence Regatta embodies a passionate commitment to sailing and the promotion of water sports in the magnificent Toulon harbour. Organised with dedication, this exceptional event strives to create an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators alike, while contributing to sustainable development and the preservation of the maritime environment. A number of initiatives will be put in place to reduce the environmental impact of the competition.

Reducing the impact of transport
The event's main points of interest (Conciergerie, hotels, briefings, official dinners, entertainment, etc.) are located within a maximum radius of 400m from the main quay hosting the yachts, optimising travel on foot or by bike, and soft mobility for visitors (MISTRAL bus network and maritime shuttle).
Bus travel is preferred to link the main site with Fort Saint Louis and the Mourillon beaches, which have large car parks.

Attention to societal impact and education
- A morning for schoolchildren to discover the marine environment and visit the various sailing boats in and around the port, for around ten schools in the Toulon area, as well as for the general public strolling along the quays.
- Discover regattas/racing at sea with the involvement of local skippers who are sponsors of the event.
- Discovering regattas with crews of more than 10 people, and the diversity of these crews
- Involvement of water sports and environmental associations in Saturday's water sports activities and in the creation of the theme trail
- Involvement of the city's higher education establishments in the communication aspect and the production of the event's trophies
- The Club Nautique de la Marine in Toulon, which is responsible for organising the "sea side" of the event, has developed a project of nautical days for "Defence wounded". Many physically or mentally injured trainees take advantage of these days every year. In 2025, it has been decided that a new class of metric sailboats will take part in the regattas. This 2.4 mR class was originally only open to disabled sailors. It now attracts everyone and advocates "inclusive sailing".

An eco-responsible race
- Regatta trophies made from recycled materials
- Use of autonomous geolocalised buoys to avoid impact on the seabed
- Using a drone to take images from the sky
- Minimising paper printing in favour of digital visual information
- No use of disposable goodies
