Pr\u00e9sents sur l\u2019eau comme \u00e0 terre, ils assurent le bon d\u00e9roulement de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement, la s\u00e9curit\u00e9, l\u2019accueil des \u00e9quipages et du public, ainsi que la logistique quotidienne.<\/p><p data-start=\"477\" data-end=\"773\">Leur disponibilit\u00e9, leur enthousiasme et leur sens du collectif incarnent les valeurs m\u00eames de la r\u00e9gate : <strong data-start=\"584\" data-end=\"631\">esprit d\u2019\u00e9quipe, solidarit\u00e9 et convivialit\u00e9<\/strong>. What made you decide to do so? What does your volunteering involve? I was asked if I could help, as I\u2019d previously worked on the Europa Cup in Hy\u00e8res.\u00a0 I know some of the boats and the skippers, and I\u2019m used to working on regatta organisation. My role at the Toulon Provence Regatta is to be the \u00abgo-to\u00bb person. I\u2019ll be in constant contact with the teams and skippers, most of whom are from abroad. I\u2019m bilingual, and there aren\u2019t many people like that in the region, so I\u2019m making myself useful. Are you familiar with the sailing world? If not, is this a real new experience for you? \u00a0I\u2019m originally from New Zealand, a country renowned for its passion for sailing, and I love the community that revolves around regattas and boats. I\u2019ve always been involved in water sports and I enjoy sailing. Have you ever volunteered for another event of this scale? Last year, together with the IYCH, we organised the Europa Cup with the 12Mji class in the Bay of Hy\u00e8res, and it was a great success. I\u2019ve also been a volunteer at the SOF in Hy\u00e8res for years. Is volunteering important to you? It\u2019s important to give back to the community, and it gives you the chance to take part in interesting activities and meet new people. It\u2019s also important to challenge yourself a little. Would you like to say a few words in particular about your involvement? I\u2019m delighted to be part of this event with magnificent boats from all over the world. There are so many serious things happening at the moment, and we live in a world that\u2019s losing sight of the value of what really matters, so coming here makes me forget all that, and I feel as though I\u2019m experiencing something magical and genuine again for a week. Interview with Ludo, a volunteer and member of the Club Nautique de la Marine in Toulon, involved in the \u00abSea\u00bb section of the Toulon Provence Regatta 2025 You volunteered to help out during the Toulon Provence Regatta. What made you decide to do so? What does your volunteering involve? As someone passionate about the maritime world and sailing, I\u2019ve signed up with the CNMT to help organise the TPR 2025. As a member of the CNMT and its training and sailing committees, I was quick to respond to the call for volunteers for this event. My volunteering is mainly focused on the \u00abSea\u00bb section of the event. I\u2019ve taken charge of booking, collecting and setting up the geolocated buoys to mark out the regatta courses. These autonomous buoys are controlled via an app and do not require anchoring, thereby helping to better preserve the seabed. I have also been actively involved in the search for a race committee in consultation with the FFV. I am due to take delivery of the rigid-hulled boats hired for the occasion by the CNMT. You\u2019re a member of the Club Nautiques de la Marine in Toulon \u2013 are you involved in the world of regattas? Regattas, which foster a fighting spirit, have been one of my main activities ever since I became a member of the CNMT. I\u2019ve put this activity on the back burner a little recently for professional reasons. Have you volunteered for another event of this scale? Yes, I helped organise a qualifying round for the 2016 Louis Vuitton America\u2019s Cup Series. I\u2019ve also been involved in organising the Tabarly regattas for the \u2018Esp\u00e9rance Banlieues\u2019 schools within the CNMT. Is volunteering important to you? Yes, it allows me to stay in touch with this community, which is particularly close to my heart.
