The Toulon Provence Regatta was born.<\/p><p>The Club Nautique de la Marine in Toulon responded to the call by positioning itself to organise the sea side of the regatta. As the CNMT was unable to easily manage the financial entries\/exits due to its state status, it was decided to create an association under the law of 1901 \"Twelve Med Events\" in June 2023. Thanks to its harbour facilities and nautical resources, it offers its members the opportunity to develop sailing and water sports. In this way, it contributes to the knowledge of the maritime environment and to the sporting training of its members. It is located within the military area of the Toulon naval base. Thierry MEILLOUR \/ Xavier CAUX \/ Herv\u00e9 MATHIEU-RESUGE The founders To mark the arrival of the Olympic flame in Toulon on 10 May 2024, three enthusiasts, passionate about sailing and their region, sought to showcase Toulon\u2019s maritime heritage and the 12 MJI-class yachts: former America\u2019s Cup yachts, but also the first sailing boats used in the Olympic Games at the start of the 20th century. The Toulon Provence Regatta was born. The Club Nautique de la Marine in Toulon answered the call by taking charge of organising the sea-side aspects of the regatta. As the CNMT was unable to manage its financial inflows and outflows easily due to its status as a state-run organisation, it was decided to set up a non-profit association under the 1901 Act, \u00abTwelve Med Events\u00bb, in June 2023. This association manages the land-based aspects of the Toulon Provence Regatta. The co-organising sailing club The Toulon Naval Sailing Club, founded in 1929, is open to military and civilian personnel of all ranks within the Ministry of the Armed Forces who share a common interest in sailing. Thanks to its port facilities and nautical resources, it offers its members the opportunity to develop their sailing and water sports skills. In this way, it contributes to its members\u2019 understanding of the maritime environment and their sporting development. It is situated within the military grounds of the Toulon naval base.
